Sujet: Le 1er mai 1915, le prestigieux Lusitania appareille de New York sous le commandement du capitaine Turner, pour un voyage a destination de Liverpool. Outre les passagers et l'équipage, le paquebot transporte des munitions.
Pendant ce temps, sous le commandement du lieutenant-capitaine Schwieger, le U-Boot U-20 sillonne les eaux environnante l'Angleterre pour s'atteler aux torpillage de navires. Le 7 mai 1915, il croise la route du Lusitania.
Anecdotes: Lusitania: Murder on the Atlantic a été diffusé aux États-Unis le 12 mai 2007 sous le titre Sinking of the Lusitania: Terror at Sea. Il a été diffusé en Angleterre le 27 mai suivant. Le téléfilm a été diffusé en Allemagne le 28 décembre 2008 sous le titre de Der Untergang der Lusitania - Tragödie eines Luxusliners.
